Library Tutorials: Getting Started

The MCC Library Tutorials are designed to help you learn how to properly use the MCC libraries and their resources.

Please note that numerous recent updates to the MCC Libraries website and the databases shown in the tutorials have made some of the information discussed in the tutorials incorrect.

Some of the tutorials include instructions on where to access links on the library homepage. Those instructions are now out of date. The images of the databases are out of date now as well. NoodleTools also updated their website recently, so some citation related website details have changed. 

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may cause. We are currently in the process of updating the videos to reflect the recent changes.

Please contact a librarian with any questions about the recent changes, about how to access library resources, or about any other questions you may have.

Welcome to the MCC Library Tutorials

The Middlesex Community College Library Tutorials will introduce you to research strategies and skills, which will help you with your college assignments. The tutorials are divided into short sections. You can get to any video by clicking on the title in the box to the right, or by clicking the title in the tabs above. 

In order to view the tutorial videos, you'll need to have the following:

  1. Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer. 
  2. An Internet connection with 500+ Kbps.
