What are Open Educational Resources?

OER Consultation Service


MCC Library is piloting a consultation service for faculty who are adopting OER. You will meet with a librarian at your campus to discuss your needs, and the Library's OER Team will locate and vet Open Educational Resources that support your requested content and criteria.

  • Locate an open textbook
  • Locate Creative Commons or public domain images, multimedia, learning objects, assessments, etc.
  • Determine the license or copyright status of a resource you would like to use
  • Properly attribute open educational resources
  • Adopt, adapt (edit), or publish open educational resource
