What's included? Full text of articles published in the New York Times newspaper from 1984 to the present. Text only articles, which do not contain all content found in the published version of the WSJ. Excluded items include advertisements, charts, classified ads, graphs, most images, and non-staff written items. Updated daily by 8 a.m.
Why use this? The Boston Public Library (BPL) holds more than 23 million items, estimated to be among the three largest collections in the country, including books, maps, manuscripts, letters, drawings, and other original works dating back as early as the 10th century. An eCard is a Boston Public Library card that you can sign up for online and which provides access to all BPL online resources. eCards are available to anyone who lives, resides part-time to attend school, owns property, or works in Massachusetts.
What's included? This is the link to the BPL eCard registration form. Some BPL databases can be used from home; JSTOR can be especially helpful. Requesting and borrowing physical materials requires a physical card. eCards can be upgraded to physical cards at any BPL location.
