What are Course and Subject Guides?
Hello. I am Mark Matook, Student Success Librarian of Systems and Electronic Resources for the Middlesex Community College Libraries. This is MCCLibVids FAQ. Today, we are answering the question: What are Course and Subject Guides?
Here, at the MCC Libraries, we work to connect you with the best resources for your academic research needs. Two of the many ways our librarians do that, is by creating Course and Subject Guides which can be accessed via the dropdown menus at the top of the right column on the library home page. Such guides are created to introduce students to resources specific to their course or subject. They often include suggested books and articles, best databases to search, suggested sites, guidance on citing, and more. These are often a great place to look when starting your research, hitting a road block, or to access focused and helpful information along the way.
If you have any questions about this and other topics, we encourage you to contact an MCC Librarian by visiting our site and using some of the many means of contact.
