Travel Guides - eBooks
Proquest eBook Central
Search travel and your country to find travel ebooks. Remember you will need to use your LIBRARY password - see off campus access tab above.
Search strategies for finding books and articles
Look for books or articles by combining words for what you hope to find and the country you are exploring. For example:
- travel Vietnam
- food China
- geography India
- music Kenya
In our HELM catalog (for books) you can limit to just the Lowell campus, either Lowell or Bedford (choose the Group Middlesex Community College) or the whole system. For books from Bedford or any other HELM library, you can place a hold and the book will be delivered to the Lowell campus for you. Remember your library password is usually your birthday in MMDDYYYY format.
Try more than one database when you are looking for articles. Each one has a different set of articles. Try different combinations of keywords. Remember librarians are happy to brainstorm keywords that might help with your research.
You can also try your search terms in the MCC Search box on the library home page - this will search for your terms across more than one database at once - good for finding articles.
